Michael Romero grew up in Bronx, New York and moved to Charlotte at the age of 4. Once he began walking, he already started to kick around a ball. He played for CSA, Castely Soccer Academy, and Mint Hill FC up until High School. He was captain for the Varsity soccer team his Junior and Senior year at Rocky River High School.
After his high school years, he began his collegiate career as an Exercise Science major along with playing for the UNCC 1st Team Mens Club his freshman year. Michael is class of 2023 and plans to obtain a Sports Performance masters with aspirations in joining a professional sport setting as a Strength and Conditioning, Tactical, or Performance coach. Michael currently plays UPSL with the recently established Queen City FC.
Michael currently works as a head coach for Barcelona Soccer Academy. Michael is also a coordinator and coach for Real Madrid U.S.A Clinics that are established in Charlotte yearly. He is fun, helping, and passionate for his love and dedication in soccer.
