Coach Mia
Mia is a Senior at Queens University of Charlotte and plays for the Women’s soccer team. Mia is from Cambridge, England but has been in the US for over 6 years playing soccer at a high school sports academy in Florida before heading to Queens for her college career. She began playing soccer when she was 5 and has played at an elite level in the player development system in England. She played for a boy’s team to increase her development before joining Cambridge United women’s team which is in the third tier of English soccer.
Although her soccer career had much success in England, Mia decided to move to the US to have to opportunity to play high level soccer as well as do her studies at the same time. Mia is majoring in Sustainability Studies and minoring in both General Business and Professional Writing and Rhetoric. She has been an important player to the Queens Women’s soccer team and was the team’s top goal scorer for the past two seasons in a row. She was also awarded the SAC All Conference Third Team and NCCSIA All State Team awards.
Mia is very passionate about soccer and is excited to be able to share that passion whilst coaching. She has experience coaching for a women’s development team at Cambridge United. Her goal is that through her passion and understanding of soccer she will be able to help her athletes to be the best possible soccer player that they can.
